Jeremy D. Nelson MPT
For over fifteen years, Jeremy D. Nelson has been improving the function of people and organizations, first as a licensed Physical Therapist, and then as a business and management consultant. He applies his training as Certified Structural Consultant to results in organizational design, business managment and employee performance.
Unlike most business consultants, Jeremy is also an active business owner and manager. He and his wife own a small business. He uses the same consulting approach in creating his businesses, projects, and careers. Through this valuable experience Jeremy has developed a focuses, practical approach to consulting that creates results now.
It was first as a Physical Therapist and then as a manager for rehabilitation companies that he began to see how different organizational designs impacted the success of businesses. Following positions as clinical director in the late 1990’s for a number of rehabilitation companies, he then trained with many management leaders including Stephen Covey, Keith J. Cunningham, and Robert Fritz. He then studied the Brazilian health care system as a member of a professional exchange program where we interacted with leaders of organizations. At the conclusion of this rich experience, Jeremy had more questions than answers about what ultimately drives large and small organizations. While researching systems theorey and the work of Peter M. Senge that Jeremy was introduced to the field of structural dynamics and the work of Robert Fritz.
While training with Robert Fritz, Jeremy developed his skills in analyzing how structures determines an organizations function and how to develop improved structural design to support company growth. Mr. Fritz’ first major book on the relationship of structure to human behavior was The Path of Least Resistance, followed by Creating, Corporate Tides and The Path of Least Resistance for Managers have had a profound impact on how Jeremy practices physical therapy, manages and grows his companies, and provides consultation services. These books, along with his trainings have introduced revolutionary ideas about the influence of structural causality on human beings, both as individuals and within organizations. Mr. Fritz’ latest book is Your Life as Art.
As a consultant, Jeremy has helped a variety of businesses to put the structural approach into practice. He aspires to having a client list that includes Fortune 500 companies, many mid-size companies, as well as governmental and non-profit organizations.
